How to get to UQAM
The Gathering will be held at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM)
405, Sainte-Catherine Street East
(514) 987-3000
From Pierre-Elliott Trudeau Airport
At the airport, go to the booth where the bus tickets are sold. Buy a ticket to the Station centrale d’autobus de Montréal (main bus station in Montréal). There is a bus every 30 minutes. Set aside $15 for this trip. The main bus station is just 100 metres from UQAM, the venue for the Gathering. When you get to the bus station, take the Berri Street exit and turn left. Cross De Maisonneuve Boulevard and continue walking until you get to the next street, which is Sainte-Catherine East. You will see an entrance to UQAM on your right, at 405 Sainte-Catherine East. When inside, just follow the signs to get to the hall where the event will be held.

Central Station is next door to the Bonaventure metro (subway) station. Follow the signs to get to the metro and take the orange line going in the direction of Montmorency. Get off at Berri-UQAM station. An entrance to UQAM is well marked in this station, so just follow the signs. When inside the University, you will see signs pointing the way to the Gathering.
Public transit
UQAM is connected directly to the Montreal subway by the Berri-UQAM station.
During your stay in Montréal for the Gathering, most likely you’ll use the metro (subway) and possibly the bus. Make sure to carry change to buy tickets. A single metro or bus ticket costs $2.75. We suggest you buy a set of six tickets for $12; this way you save $0.75 on the cost of each ticket.
If this is the first time you use public transit and you need some pointers, feel free to write us at mobilisation@rebelles2008.org.
Parking
The Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) is located at 405 Sainte. Catherine Street East. If you are coming by car, we suggest that you park your car free of charge near a metro station away from the downtown core; and make the rest of your way to the event by metro. (Visit the section How to get to UQAM). Otherwise please click on the following link which will direct you to the Stationnement de Montréal web site (http://www.statdemtl.qc.ca/en/off_street/default.aspx), where you can search for paid parking lots that are close to the university.
