A place to stay
The Waves of Resistance team is doing all it can to provide free accommodations for everyone who needs a place to stay. That’s why we’ve rented the gym at Collège de Maisonneuve, where 250 young women can sleep. There are shower facilities. Bring a flashlight, your toiletries, floor mat and sleeping bag! The College will be accessible to participants starting at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, October 10 until 8:00 a.m. Saturday. On Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th, the college will be open to participants from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. the following morning. Please note that it’s important to leave the college every morning for 8:00 to get to the Gathering.
The Collège de Maisonneuve (use the 2701 Nicolet entrance) is easy to get to by metro from UQAM, where the Gathering will be held (see map below).
From the Berri-UQAM metro station take the green line in the direction of Honoré-Beaugrand and get off at Joliette station. Then it’s a five-minute walk and you’ll be at the college (see map below).
To get to UQAM from the college, take the green line in the metro, Angrignon, and get off at the Berri-UQAM station. The entrance to UQAM is clearly marked in the station. Once you’re inside UQAM, just follow the signs to the hall where the event will take place.
